My name is Katy, and I am a registered clinical counsellor. I believe in the innate resiliency that lives within us and am passionate about walking alongside you on this journey. As a therapist, I am compassionate and curious about the person in front of me, and I aim to support self-discovery, holding space for whatever comes our way. I live in Northern B.C. and am humbled every day by the beauty surrounding me. A homebody at heart, I love hanging out with my family, working on a sourdough loaf, and reading.
Together, we can embark on a path toward healing and help you connect with the joy within you.
Approach
When working with clients, I use a trauma-informed and person-centred approach and use gentle somatic-based therapeutic modalities. I aim to help clients make sense of their life stories and use elements from Attachment Theory, Mindful Self-compassion, and Somatic Attachment Psychotherapy.
